Getting started with Lumina
Go through these four steps and you can reach your first live teleprompter session on your own computer: confirm the device, sign in and download, grant permissions as needed, and understand the audio and cloud paths. Every step maps to a real feature, with no unnecessary settings.
1. Confirm the system requirements
Lumina runs on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 13 or later) and Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) or later, and Windows 11. Meet the requirements for your platform and the later steps go smoothly; Intel Macs and mobile are not supported at the moment.
2. Download from the customer center
After you sign in or register, the customer center walks you through the controlled download and shows the current server version and download status. The download link is a signed link valid for 5 minutes and carries a user watermark where it can be applied; the public site offers no anonymous direct links.
3. Grant only the permissions you need
The microphone and system audio can be combined as you set, and screen reading can be switched on its own. Grant only the permissions you currently need; screen recording permission only matters once you enable screen context.
4. Understand the audio and cloud paths
Transcription runs on your device by default (Apple silicon and 64-bit Windows) and can be switched to the cloud fast or standard mode; answer generation goes through the gateway. Audio content is not stored; when you view your account or download, the related requests talk to the gateway as the feature needs. Looking at boundaries feature by feature is more accurate than a single summary.
